Help needed to solve a murder case

Police believe that another foreign national from the Congo, known only as 'Pascal', may be in a position to assist them in their investigation

Ladysmith police need help in solving the murder of a foreign national on the night of Thursday, April 24.

At about 11pm on the night in question, a group of foreign nationals returned to their rented home in Steadville after a night out. An argument allegedly broke out and the body of a Burundian national named Hakizimana Hassan (also known as ‘Issa’) was found in one of the rooms the following morning. He had sustained several stab wounds to the body.

Police believe that another foreign national from the Congo, known only as ‘Pascal’, may be in a position to assist them in their investigation. Anyone who can help police to trace his whereabouts is requested to contact the investigating officer, Captain Mntambo, on 036-638-3321. The 08600-10111 Crime Stop number can also be used.
