Hundreds of ANC members attended the funeral of those who succumbed to political violence in KwaZulu-Natal in the early 1990s.

Premier Senzo Mchunu and members of his cabinet joined family members of the deceased in paying their final respects to 8 ‘fallen heroes’ who paid the ultimate price at a time when the leadership of the first branch of the ANC was wiped out.

Seven other victims will be laid to rest soon, when the bodies are identified.
