World Honesty Day

The day for airing dirty laundry...

World Honesty Day…

World Honesty day is celebrated every year on April 30. This day encourages honesty and truthfulness. This day is not celebrated with braai vleis or Christmas cake but only with a dish of cold hard honesty.

Hirsh Goldberg, former press secretary to a governor of Maryland and author of five books founded World Honesty Day, in 1990. Goldberg, who wrote The book of lies, Schemes, Fakes and fraud was inspired by the books when founding World Honesty Day.

Goldberg created this day as he believed the month of April started with a lie (April fools day) and should end with honesty.

He also encouraged participation, for honesty is virtue. On that note go on spread the honesty and don’t hold back on airing the dirty laundry.
