Ezakheni cop nabs thieves

Police are also investigating the possibility that the suspects may be involved in other similar cases

A diligent Ezakheni police officer recently arrested suspects allegedly involved in two separate incidents of theft from a motor vehicle and housebreaking.

The first case involved an incident which occurred during the early hours of March 19 in Ezakheni E-Section, where four vehicle tyres, rims and a car stereo were stolen from a motor vehicle. Constable PS Hadebe subsequently arrested the suspects, one aged 18 and the other two 24. During the arrests, the stolen property was also recovered. The suspects face charges of theft from a motor vehicle. Police are also investigating the possibility that the suspects may be involved in other similar cases.

In a second case, a house in Ezakheni was broken into sometime between April 1 and 3. Furniture, clothing and electrical appliances were taken. Constable Hadebe received information about the stolen items, which led him to a house in Ezakheni C2-Section. Police found the stolen property at the house, which was then seized. Five suspects were arrested, aged 23, 27, 28 and 21 (two). They face charges of housebreaking.
