Aaron to keep the roads safe

Traffic warden on the watch out for motorists breaking the law.

A closer eye is to be kept on motorists breaking the law in Endumeni. Newly-appointed Traffic Warden, Aaron Khumalo, is out to ensure that road users obey the law and town remains a safe place to drive. For the last five years the Endumeni Traffic Department has operated without a Traffic Warden – those duties were performed by traffic officers. In March Mr Khumalo was appointed to take over the position, after serving as a peace officer. Mr Khumalo has developed within the Traffic Department since 1995, starting as temporary meter attendant, then being appointed traffic signal officer, followed by his appointment as a peace officer. He served only a few months before being promoted to Traffic Warden. All this came about through the dedication and passion he has had from a young age.
