Fishing
On April 5 to 6 Mrs Swart accompanied ten DHS fishing boys to the Duvenhage Dam for a weekend of fishing and camping. It was a fabulous weekend, and more than 30 fish were caught! The fisherman of the weekend was Ashley Laloo, for catching the heaviest bag and the biggest fish. He received the Bugden Family Trophy.
This past weekend, ten DHS boys fished their hearts out in an attempt to qualify for the KZN teams. These fishing trials took place at the Klipfontein Dam in Vryheid. It was very hard work and tough going for the DHS fishermen, but they tried their best and are eagerly awaiting the release of the results.
DHS vs Pongola
Hockey: Great hockey was played this past weekend, with the U/16s winning 2-0 and the first team working hard for a victory of 4-0. Thank you to Louise Rebeiro for travelling all the way to Pongola to umpire.
Netball: The matches played against Pongola on Saturday were tough but well played. The first team played their hearts out and managed to leave the court with a winning score of 25-21. The U/15s played a good match as well, but unfortunately lost 13-18.
