Urgent traffic update on N3 near Ladysmith

Traffic delays are expected on the N3 Toll Route in the Ladysmith district (between the Tugela Engen 1 Stop and Tugela Toll Plaza) on Wednesday, March 26.

N3 Toll Concession (N3TC), who are responsible for management of the N3 Toll Route between Heidelberg and Cedara, have issued an alert to motorists to plan ahead for traffic disruptions on Wednesday (tomorrow) in the vicinity of Ladysmith.

Eskom will be carrying out essential maintenance work to an overhead power line. The maintenance work will be undertaken on a weekday and may cause disruption to traffic flow, as vehicles will be stacked at road closure points for 20-minute intervals.

It is expected that this section of the N3 Toll Route will be closed for a maximum of two hours from 9am and 11am on Wednesday.

All measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of road users and to limit any inconvenience. Ladysmith Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) will manage traffic during the closures, and N3TC’s Route Services team will be on standby in the vicinity to provide assistance, if required.
