Ladysmith police are appealing to the public to help them identify and trace a group of six suspects who were recently involved in an attempt to rob a business in Queen Street.
At about 7pm on Tuesday, January 28, the robbers entered the business and assaulted the employees. They then attempted to steal cash, but were unsuccessful and fled empty-handed. They were armed with guns. One of them was wearing a police uniform, while another had a police reflective jacket on. Images from CCTV footage has been made available.
Anyone who has information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, should contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Dave Warmenhoven, on 10111 or 036-638-3415. The 08600-10111 Crime Stop number can also be used.
