Black Mamba foils would-be cattle theft

The Black Mamba Community Crime Prevention Association made a great breakthrough in the case of stolen cattle last month.

The Black Mamba Community Crime Prevention Association made a great breakthrough in the case of stolen cattle last month.
Acting promptly, members of the association were quick to alert the local SAPS after finding cattle that seemed to have been hidden in order to be gathered later in an area just outside of Vryheid.
According to Mr Vincent Mashazi of the association, they did their best to surround the cattle before contacting Captain Ndebele of the Vryheid SAPS’ stock theft prevention unit.
“Some of the cattle ran away when we tried to gather them and so we had to return to the area the next morning, and fortunately, those that had escaped, were found,” said Mr Mashazi.
Community members who may have lost cattle in May, or may know the person who owns this stock are advised to contact the local SAPS on 034 989 5506 or Vincent Mashazi on 076 599 0103.
