Local business Isikazwe EduMedia secured 500 books to help set up a library for the children at Harpo Primary School in Lakeside.

Local business Isikazwe EduMedia secured 500 books to help set up a library for the children at Harpo Primary School in Lakeside.

The school is said to have been marred with a myriad of challenges in its young history. From the lack of proper education and learning resources to cases where appointed leadership was being opposed, the school has faced many challenges and these are some of the reasons why Isikazwe has made the decision to adopt the school and help it launch a turn-around strategy.

The school currently has 850 scholars, most of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds and this library is very essential.

Insikazwe is seeking help from the community as they are hoping to provide a meal for each child on the day when the books will be handed over, which is June 21.

Community members who are willing to assist should contact the school’s principal Mrs M Masombuka on 072 018 2439 or 071 924 1199.
