The first games kicked off on Friday afternoon and early on Saturday morning, the whistle marked the start of a second day packed with ‘rugga’ action.
More than 70 teams from four different provinces took part in this magnificent display of high school rugby.

Vryheid Landbou’s first rugby team showed its strength against Linpark High’s first team.
Vryheid High School’s first team had a hard and agonising game against the legendary Welkom Gimnasium first team.
It was a fight to the end, as the Vryheid team was on the defense for most of the game.
The team did manage to sneak in a very well deserved penalty kick however, which earned the side its only points on the scoreboard.
VHS did not back down until the very last whistle.
Overall, it was a day characterised by the best local school teams measuring up to more experienced teams elsewhere in the country.

VHS defenders put in the hard yards but do not reap the reward.
