With the majority of the runners and walkers away at the big challenge race, the volunteers got to enjoy a small but very friendly group of local and visiting parkrun participants. Congratulations to Sibonelo Cele on being the first finisher.

The first lady finisher was Bergville visitor Elizabeth Shepard. At 81 years old, she proves that age isn’t an obstacle at all! Elizabeth has already completed 249 parkruns and Vryheid parkrun would like to take this opportunity to wish her everything of the best for her upcoming 250th event. Congratulations, Elizabeth!
