Parkrunners conquer weekly events

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or just be a spectator

Parkrunners are continuously trying to improve on their personal best times at the weekly 5km events. But what is a good time for a non-professional and non-club athlete to complete the 5km? When you delve around on the parkrun website, you will find that special mention is made of men who finish in sub-17 minutes and ladies who go sub-20. That is a good indication of whether you are on par with the ‘brilliant’ parkrunners around the country.
And remember:
Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or just be a spectator. It takes place every Saturday morning.
Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit, and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.
You only need to register once, whether you walk, jog, run or volunteer.
There are currently 217 parkrun events around the country, taking place every weekend, with more locations being added all the time.
You can go along to any event, any weekend.
