Churches feed the homeless and hold sports day

Congregants handed out food to the homeless

The Alliance of Pentecostal & Charismatic Organisation held a soup kitchen and sports day on Monday (June 17).

The programme started in the morning, where all the churches affiliated with the organisation handed out soup and bread to homeless people in the community. The soup kitchen was based near the Ladysmith police station, where numerous homeless people received breakfast.

The team then proceeded to the Kandahar Avenue sports field, where they held a sports day in commemoration of Youth Day. Different sporting codes were represented, including aerobics, soccer and netball.
