Parkrunner sadly passes away

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we announce the sad passing of a dear friend and fellow parkrunner, Elias Mathala, who was sadly killed in a car accident. Elias’s cheerful smile and friendly banter will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences go to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Elias – we will miss you.

Natalie Gaskell was the first female finisher and Ntando Ndlovu finished second at Saturday’s Parkrun.
The cooler weather saw participants achieve seven personal best times, with Julias, Ntando, Harrison, Elisma, Tania, Kerry and Talita chalking up ‘PBs’.
Parkrun now recognises anyone’s 25th participation event as a milestone event. Last week two ladies, Elisma Pretorius and Sharon Kruger. celebrated their 25th milestone events.
