Junior Eleven win provincial play-offs

The league they have qualified for is the SAFA second division in South Africa

Local team Junior Eleven have again made Ladysmith proud after they qualified to play in the national second division that is called the ABC Motsepe League.

Junior Eleven competed in the provincial play-offs in Northdale, Pietermaritzburg, last weekend.

The team started the games in high spirits, playing the opening match on Friday against Ulundi United and emerging as winners. On Saturday morning, they again won against Good Fellas.

Junior Eleven concluded their group matches by beating Midlands Academy, which confirmed their spot in the semi-finals against the Eleven Experience team from Ugu District. This was not an easy encounter and the match ended in a draw. However, the local boys were not about to give up their winning streak and went on to win the match on penalties.
