Cyclists’ determination pays off

Vryheid cyclists proved their fitness during the Virgin Active Ride Jo’burg 94.7 on Sunday. Well done to Jabulani Xulu on completing his 13th race in an excellent time of 3:33. Thabani Xaba raced his fourth event this year and also finished in a great time of 2:47. “It was not an easy event,” said Thabani, commenting that there were lots of uphill sections. Thabani’s training is certainly paying off. Well done! Mlungisi Zulu had some bad luck when he was hampered by three punctures along the route. Sorry, Mlungisi. Paul Steffenson completed his ninth event this year, riding with his brother, John Hopewell. It was such a great race. Well done, guys!
