Pigeon races from Marble Hall and Kimberley

The Marble Hall pigeons were released at 07:30 and the Kimberley pigeons at 07:45 

Last Saturday (July 29), the open pigeons raced from Marble Hall (396km) and Kimberley (488km).

The Marble Hall pigeons were released at 07:30 and the first pigeon was clocked by Emmanuel Maharaj at 11:28, minutes ahead of the next pigeon.

Due to a strong tail-wind, the winning pigeon flew an average speed of 109km/h.

The Kimberley pigeons were released at 07:45 and the first three pigeons were clocked by Lewis Hay at 14:05.  The winning pigeon flew an average speed of 77km/h.

The full results are as follows:

Marble Hall Open (22 pigeons):

Emmanuel Maharaj (Weenen): 1,3,6,9,11,12.

Mark Maharaj (Weenen): 2,10.

Lewis Hay: 4,5,7,8,13.

Kimberley Open (108 pigeons):

Lewis Hay: 1,2,3,6,7,11,15,18,22,23,24,25,26,29.

Jimmy Hanlon: 4,13,16.

Eric Holder Jnr (Bergville): 5,9,20,30.

Rob Irons (Winterton): 8,10,14,21,27.

Emmanuel Maharaj (Weenen): 12,17,19,28.

This weekend, the yearling races are from Bethal (215km) and Brandfort (325km).
