Hospice and golfers join hands for fund-raising

Despite the icy weather, golfers showed their support

Estcourt Hospice hosted a golf day at the club on Saturday (October 22). The four-ball alliance format was well received by the 43 players who braved the icy wind, with excellent scores being posted.

The Hospice team, led by the hardworking Belinda Smith, would like to thank their numerous sponsors and donors who made the day possible.

Winners on a score of 100 points were Geoff and Ethan Richmond, Roy Unsworth and Yarish Goondram.

Second on 98 points were Rajen Goodoon, Shane Mothilal, Naveen Rajcoomar and Harry Koovarjee.

In third place were Arnold and Gail Boettiger, Mike Hodgson and David Diedrick on 92 points.

Fourth on 87 points were Dr Khuzwayo, Dr Gordan Chotu, Hlanganani ‘Snoopy’ Hlongwane and Deejay Ramdhav.

Closest to the pin on no. 3 was Pitso Molefe, no. 16 Shane Mothilal, and no. 11 for 2 was Dr Chotu. The longest drive on no. 6 was hit by Roy Unsworth.
