Message from Cluster C chairperson Sibusiso Chonco:

“Cluster C had 12 departments participating in the 2022 Work & Play League games. These games started on July 27 with 11 departments, and later Nestle joined the league. I must accept that there were challenges in terms of the documentation and refereeing, etc, but I must thank all the departmental teams for their co-operation until the end of the league. It is so sad to say that during our 2022 league games, we lost three players from different departments, namely Transnet, Department of Education – Estcourt, and Department of Education – Ntabamhlophe. May their souls rest in peace. I would also like to thank the Cluster C committee for working very hard and to be able to take decisions where they needed to, without any fear or favour. I wish to salute the Pick n Pay management team for the support they gave their team; indeed they deserve this victory. I also encourage other managers from other departments to fully support their teams in the 2023 Work & Play League games. Lastly, I wish to thank every manager for allowing their employees to participate in this Work & Play League and since it was our last 2022 league games, I must also encourage all employees to continue living the healthy lifestyle we have started as uThukela District employees. Let all departments start preparing for the 2023 Work & Play League. Dlala Msebenzi.”
