Season preparations underway for Drakensberg FC

The team has signed new players to bolster the squad

Preparations for the upcoming season are progressing smoothly for local soccer team Drakensberg FC.

The team will be competing in the ABC Motsepe League this coming season, which is the second division (below the Premier League).

Drakensberg FC is the only team that will be representing Uthukela District in the second division.

Team manager Maskito Hadebe said they are training hard so as to do really well against tough opposition. “We have signed Remember Mbatha, who will be assisting with the management of the team. We have also bolstered our squad by signing new players such as Dio Sibisi, Zolan, Musa, Fihle Mbatha, Bhayano and Mkhufah.

He added that they are also looking forward to the Nedbank Cup, which will be starting soon.
