Express your culture this Heritage Day

See how local learners celebrated Heritage Day

Today (September 24), South Africans across the length and breadth of the country will be dressing up or braai’ing it up as Heritage Day or Braai Day is commemorated.

It’s a day on which South Africans relish traditions and cultures, and is often marked with traditional attire or a traditional braai. ‘Living heritage’ includes cultural tradition, oral history, performance, rituals, as well as society and social relationships.

Local schools commemorated the day too with dressing up, learning about other traditions as well as tasting cuisines from different cultures.

At  Jack and Jill Pre-school and Crèche the learners and educators celebrated the day with learning, cooking and dressing up
