Dundee rugby fans pack local venues to savor Bok victory

Rain or snow local rugby fans kept the Bok flag flying.

Braving wind, rain, mud and lots of tension, hundreds of Springbok rugby supporters gathered at The Shed and other venues to watch South Africa defend their World Cup crown against old rivals the All Blacks.

Those who gathered at The Shed also enjoyed a beer fest, live music by Smokkelhuiz and lots of goodwill. A huge bonfire was made to keep the unexpected chill at bay and The Shed rocked with cheers from those clad in green and gold when Siya Kolisi was seen on the big screen, lifting the trophy.

Green and gold were also the colours of choice by those attending the Kraaines Morning Market earlier in the day in Glencoe, with young and old alike keeping the South African spirit alive.
