The residents at Shepstone Place Old Age Home were blessed with a warm, sunny day last Friday, as they celebrated the beginning of the spring season.
Colourful balloons and streamers brightened the grounds, and the residents donned beautifully-decorated spring hats. Prizes were given for the prettiest, most creative, most elegant, most practical and most environmental hat.

The staff surprised the residents with a lively dance to the hit song ‘Jerusalema’, after which the residents took a short saunter through the home’s grounds (if they were able).
The morning ended with everyone enjoying a delicious spread of cakes and snacks. It was lovely to see so many happy faces after a challenging few months of Covid-19 lockdown at the Home.
The Home is grateful to the Lord for protecting the residents during this time, and is thankful to the family and friends of the residents for their support and understanding.
