Accounting Solutions spreads Christmas cheer in Wasbank

The lives of 113 people were changed by a single good deed recently.

Supporting a good cause is not about making a donation; it’s about making a difference.

A huge difference was made in the lives of 20 families in the Wasbank area, who benefitted from the recent Accounting Solutions Christmas Hamper Drive. Groceries, toys, treats and presents were donated to each family, changing the lives of 113 people. The animals weren’t forgotten either, with a donation also made to the SPCA.

“This year we were also able to give each child a gift for Christmas. Every year I am truly overwhelmed by the contributions and support that we receive for this drive,” said Trisha Rajkumar, who headed the initiative.

She thanked each individual and organisation which contributed towards the initiative, and Shabana Rajkumar and her team at the Wasbank Clinic for arranging the event and identifying needy families in the area.

The handover was marked by many ecstatic families singing and dancing for joy as they received their hampers, but there were a few tears shed too. One of the recipients, Mavis Sibisi fought back the tears as she explained how she had no food for Christmas, but that the hampers were a godsend to help her during a difficult time.

She praised Trisha and the team for putting others first and making a difference.
