Emphasis was placed on spending quality family time on Saturday.

This was when Jack and Jill Preschool & Crèche hosted its annual Family Fun Day.
The day started off with the excited learners pitting their skills against each other in fun events such as the potato and spoon race, obstacle race and gathering blocks, to name but a few.
Enthusiastic parents, grandparents and siblings participated in fun events especially planned for them.
Each learner was rewarded with a trophy and those who excelled in the events received certificates.
Every learner was also treated to a hamper.
Parents and grandparents were rewarded with beautiful prizes for winning their events.
It was yet another highly successful and fun-filled event that was thoroughly enjoyed by the learners, parents and all in attendance.
There was plenty of laughter and competitiveness on the track, as races ranged from running to tricky synchronisation to reach the finish line.
School principal Bina Sookhinunthen said that the priority of the day was to rekindle family ties.
“It’s all about family.
We encourage parents and siblings to support the learners while they frolic in the sun.
With so many parents working out-of-town during the week, this is an ideal opportunity to bond with their children,” she said.
Mrs Sookhinunthen wishes to thank all those who contributed to making the day the huge success it was.
