Hindvani promotes the love of the Hindi language

The Hindi Pracharni Sabha (HPS) welcomed Hindvani Shiksha Sangh, which is an online live-streaming community radio station based in Durban.
The objective of the Sangh and Hindvani is to promote, via electronic media, the development and propagation of the Hindi language and Hindu culture.
They also encourage learning the Hindi language in all its aspects, but more especially in the written and oral traditions.
In this spirit, on Sunday (February 17), at the Status Hall Hindi students and avid promoters of the language performed dances, and sang Hindi songs.
The community also showed up in their numbers to meet the presenters of the show and thoroughly enjoyed the religious songs which were rendered, market stalls that were available and a live radio broadcast on the Hindvani station.
To tie into the festivities, a prize-giving was held where Hindi students who wrote a Hindi examination last year, were awarded with certificates of course completion.
Organisers thanked the owner of the Status Hall for his sponsorship, and congratulated the students on their achievements, as well as the outstanding performances from local musicians and dance groups.
“We also thank the community for their amazing support.”
