Police, religious leaders and representatives of various Government Departments today led a march in a bid to dispel rumours surrounding those living with albinism with the topic being ‘Singabantu Asisiwo Umuthi’ – We are also human beings. The march followed a route from the municipality to the taxi rank where speeches were made and pamphlets handed out. A programme then followed in the Moth Hall.
Mayor Richard Mbatha and Dundee SAPS Cluster Commander, Brig Buthelezi, also supported the event. The programme was part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse.
