Sentraal to play against Royal Artillery rugby team on Sunday

The friendly will be played at the DHS grounds from 4pm and all are welcome to support the local team and give the visitors a warm Dundee welcome

Sentraal put up a great showing away in Vryheid last weekend and although both the second and first teams went down, the visitors put in performances they could be proud of.
In the main game, the men in blue had a lightning start, scoring a try within in the first three minutes.
Vryheid responded with a penalty seven minutes later but Sentraal hit back with another try just four minutes after that. However, the men in maroon kept marauding forward, scoring two tries in the 37th and 39th minute of the first half – which gave the home team a two point lead (17-15) over Sentraal at half time.
The second half was a different script with Vryheid dominating the game, scoring another 15 points to which Sentraal could not respond. The full time score being 32-15.

The second teams also had a game of two halves – Sentraal failed to score in the first half with Vryheid running rampant – scoring five tries making the score 31-0 when the half time whistle went. The team talk must have worked – Sentraal came roaring out – putting 19 points on the board with Vryheid crossing the try line just once. The final score: 38-19.
On Saturday, Sentraal enjoyed their first victories of the season – with both the first and second teams enjoying handsome victories over the Mighty Buffaloes. The second team won 13 – 7 and the first team 73-5.
On Sunday, May 12, Sentraal will host a team representing the Royal Artillery from the UK who will be in the area on a battlefields tour with local guide, Pat Rundgren,. The friendly will be played at the DHS grounds from 4pm and all are welcome to support the local team and give the visitors a warm Dundee welcome
