Four separate sexual assault cases shock town

Not even little girls have been spared...

Police are investigating four separate cases of sexual assault in the Dundee area – two involving little girls.

Police said a charge of sexual assault of a seven-year-old Sibongile girl. Her mother became suspicious when the girl ‘started acting strangely’ and asked for assistance from two women living next door. After checking the girl they questioned the girl who said her father had assaulted her. A case has been opened.

In another shocking incident in Dlamini Village, a mother’s instincts prompted an examination of a three-year-old girl which resulted in the girl being taken to the hospital and a charge of rape opened.

A 19-year-old Sibongile woman opened a charge of rape after her r ex-boyfriend came to her house at 3am shouting and swearing at her. When he was asked to leave he continued shouting.

The woman went outside to reprimand the man who then grabbed and assaulted her. She alleged she was pushed to the ground and raped. Police are investigating.

In the fourth incident, a teenager and her aunt were walking in extension 20 in the early hours of Sunday morning when the younger girl was attacked by a man and forced into a nearby bush.

Her aunt ran to call for help at a night club and several people came to assist. Three men found the girl and the man who is believed to have raped her and immediately had him arrested.
