On Friday, March 1, the first and second team boys travelled to Newcastle to take part in a pre-season tournament that is always beneficial to these young athletes before the season starts. The first team boys beat NHS, Sarel, LHS, Ferrum and Vryheid High. They drew against St Dom’s and went straight through to finals where they lost 2 – 0 against St Dom’s. Well done to Nqubeko Mngomezulu who was crowned with the title of the best u/18 player of the tournament. The second team boys also did extremely well. They ended fourth in the u/16 and 2nd team pool. DHS is very excited about this coming season.
