Fathima’s fight against drugs goes international

Mrs Khan is currently in Kenya for the first ever International Drug Demand Reduction Conference.

Dannhauser is being represented internationally, thanks to Fathima Khan.

Mrs Khan, Facility Manager of City of Refuge Rehabilitation Centre, is currently in Kenya for the first ever International Drug Demand Reduction Conference.

The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), the African Union (AU) are other partners have come together to organise the event.

The conference is expected to give greater publicity to the successful policies, programs and initiatives in drug demand reduction and support the call for increased partnership in substance use prevention and treatment.

The conference also provides training and competence building and enhances the implementation of evidence based interventions.

For Mrs Khan, it is a huge honour and achievement to attend an event of this magnitude.
