Horror Sunday crash claims one

It is believed the trio had attended a wedding in Glencoe the previous day. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A passenger died when the vehicle he was travelling smashed into the railings at the Tatham Street bridge on Sunday afternoon. Witnesses at the scene said the Mpumalanga registered white Audi was travelling at a high speed towards Karelandman Street when the driver appeared to lose control of the vehicle.

Miraculously, the Audi did not plunge down the embankment but was left hanging over the precipice. The driver and a passenger, who was sporting a T-shirt with the logo ‘Avoid hangovers stay drunk’  were treated by paramedics.

It is believed the trio had attended a wedding in Glencoe the previous day. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
