Dundee Rotarians help in the fight against rhino poaching

The Dundee Rotary Club has stepped in to assist the fight again the slaughter by last week signing an historic agreement with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife that will see the Club selling high-quality T-shirts to raise funds for equipment to assist rangers prevent poaching in the province’s parks.
The agreement was signed last week by Dundee Rotary President, Bonga Ntshangase and Oscar Mthimkhulu, representing Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s head office in Pietermaritzburg.
The agreement was witnessed by two dignitaries – the Rotary Club’s District Governor, Wally Jacobs of Klerksdorp and Assistant Governor, Roger Hayes of Estcourt.

Ryan ‘O Connor also of Ezemvelo Wildlife told the Courier that there ‘is simply no medical evidence that the rhino horn is an aphrodisiac as is widely believed in the orient’.
