Teacher’s body recovered after his car was swept away in a flood

He went missing following torrential rains that swept through the province over the past four days, causing sporadic incidents of damage in various parts of the province

The body of a 48-year-old man whose car was swept away by flash floods near the Nanakazi River in the Nquthu area on Sunday has been found in the middle of the Gubazi River.
Vincent Sbusiso Mcube, is believed to have been a teacher at the Ntabasibahle High School in Qhudeni.
He went missing following torrential rains that swept through the province over the past four days, causing sporadic incidents of damage in various parts of the province. The car was recovered yesterday and this afternoon the police divers managed to recover the man’s body.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) MEC, Nomsa Dube-Ncube has extended a message of condolence to the family. Rapid response and disaster management teams have been deployed to support the family and conduct home circumstance report which determines the needs of the family.
