Saverite lends a hand to feeding learners

"blessed is the hand that gives than that receives."

Amakhemfundo Primary School in Sithembile, Glencoe, is one of the chosen schools around the country that has received a Saverite Kitchen.
On Thursday the kitchen was officially handed over to the school by Saverite manager along with the members from the head office. The kitchen will enable them to prepare meals in a hygienic space for the more than 900 learners. As part of the Masscash Wholesale CSI portfolio, such on-site kitchens empower schools to be able to provide their learners with healthy meals throughout the school day. “Through this initiative, Masscash hopes to make a relevant and notable contribution to support the education of our children,” said Engedzani Dzebu, Sustainability Field Worker at Masscash. Many learners throughout the country have benefitted from deploying these Saverite Kitchens.

Amakhemfundo principal and teachers forwarded their warm gratitude to Saverite for the generosity they have shown to the school. They said this initiative does not only benefit students but them as teachers as well.
“When a leaner is hungry and cannot concentrate in class, that also affects you as a teacher, therefore we thank you Saverite for the initiative,” said Miss Adams who was also the Programme Director on the day. Principal SCJ Ngobese urged the teachers, parents and students to take good care of the kitchen for future use.
