Ladies dominate Time Trials

Open to the public, young or old and is free...

2km Walk Ladies: Sandy Thakur – 19m24s (PB) finished first with Nerina Deena 20m35s coming in second.
There was a dead heat for third as Bettie Wolfaardt and Luzanne van der Mescht finished in 23m30s.
2km Walk/Jog Ladies: Lani van der Mescht – 17m32s.
3km Walk Ladies: There was a dead heat for first as Joyce Shabalala and Pinky Qwabe both finished in 26m25s. Anri Maree and Karla van Eeden dead heated for second in a time of 29m13s.
3km Run Ladies: Thobeka Mbatha finished first with a personal best of 14m47s while Alixe Fraser came in second in a time of 25m11s.
4km Run Ladies: Jayrushka Massallia achieved a personal best once again in a time of 21m38s.
4km Run Mens: Joel Khumalo – 14m57s finished ahead of Zwelihle Duma – 19m04s.
Sandy walked an excellent personal best to win the ladies 2km walk event followed by Nerina who was very excited to get her debut underway at Time Trials.
Bettie and Luzanne dead heated for third place respectively. Lani finished in a good time in the 2km ladies walk/jog event. The 3km ladies walk surprisingly saw two dead heats. Joyce and Pinky for first place and Anri and Karla for second place. Thobeka ran a cracking time in the ladies 3km run event set herself a new personal best, followed by Alixe Fraser. Jayrushka is in fine form, running PB’s week after week.
Joe did well in the 4km mens run followed by another consistent runner, Zwelihle. T
hese two were the only male athletes in a field truly dominated by the female athletes.
Please note that the Time Trials takes place every Wednesday at 5pm in front of Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane.
