Personal bests smashed at Time Trials

It is open to the public, young or old and is free.

2km Walk Ladies: First was Sandy Thakur in a time of 20m48s while Luise van der Merwe and Rita Laas dead heated for second in 23m00s.
2km Run Girls: Thembihle Thela finished first in a time of 19m37s.
2km Run Boys: Njabulo Duma finished in a time of 15m12s.
2km Walk Mens: Pieter Bester finished in 20m48s.
2km Walk Boys: Pieter Bester Junior came in first in 20m41s.
3km Run Ladies: First was Jayrushka Massalia in a time of 15m40s (PB) with Joyce Shabalala finishing in 25m36s.
4km Run Mens: Bongani Sabelo led the pack home in a time of 13m57s followed by Thokozani Phungula in 14m05s.
Petrus Mavuso came in third – 16m02s, Zwelihle Duma came in fourth – 18m58s (PB) while Spephelo Ntshingila finished in 22m22s.
Sandy won the 2km ladies walk event from Luise and Rita. Thembelihle decided to run the 2km for the first time. Pieter Bester Junior showed his dad, Pieter Bester, a clean pair of heels to make sure he was first.
Jayrushka once again ran an excellent race and smashed her personal best time, followed by Joyce. Bongani won the men’s 4km event in a phenomenal time, breaking the 14 minute barrier.
Thokozani ran a game race in second. Petrus wasn’t too far behind in third. Zwelihle ran his heart out to smash his personal best as he finished fourth, followed by Sphephelo.
Please note that the Time Trials takes place every Wednesday at 5pm in front of Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane.
