Bowls continues to bring more fun

The Shed Pool and Darts Business league continues to be a great fun evening with lots of competition. Members and friends are urged come join the ‘bring your basket and braai’.
July Nite Racing
This evening, held to mark the running of the famous Durban July handicap was well supported. It was great fun and it was good to see the ‘colts and fillies’ in action in the matchbox racing event.
The R20 draw was won by Jacques Bierbaum with Angus Millar second and Jordan de Jager third.
In the R10 draw, Denise Cherry took first place, followed by Dave O’Halloran and Greg Conolly.
KZNCB
Northern’s zone did well in the senior fours played in Pongola last weekend.
The men section was won by John Douthwaite’s team. Sid Price and his team were the runners-up.Both are teams from Newcastle. In the ladies competition, the winners were: Gloria Garbutt’s A team from Richards Bay while Lorraine Vincent’s team was second.
Friday is Sunset Bowls
Pool and darts challenge starts from 3:30pm onwards. All business leagues and new players are welcome.
