The bowling legends are back

Some Legends unfortunately had to withdraw due to varying circumstances. The Club is thinking of them and sends sincere condolences.

The first SA Bowls Legends Society meeting was held in Dundee on December 15 and 16. Those who attended came from Durban, Johannesburg and surrounding areas.

Wonderful camaraderie among the players of current and of yesteryear. Some Legends unfortunately had to withdraw due to varying circumstances. The Club is thinking of them and sends sincere condolences.

It was decided to open the Legends to the Ladies as well and to be played on 2:4:2 format. Legends to pay an attendance deposit. This event will once again be held in Dundee December 15 and 16, thereafter, Legends will decide who will host.

Legends are able to purchase their own Legends shirts and jackets. All are reminded to send their email address to lourensroos@icloud.com. They would also assist battling Legends.
Legends criteria:
Ladies and gents who have played A Provincial or Senior Provincial. Obviously Proteas.

Club Bowls:
The Club wishes all bowls members and friends a great 2016. They look forward to an exciting year ahead, the Electrical Centre Business League will be back in full swing starting on January 28, Club Drawn Pairs this weekend January 23 and 24 and KZNCB Mixed Pairs in Dundee February 6 and 7 competitions.

The KZNCB Singles playoffs were played in Mtunzini, Zululand this past weekend and winners as follows: Men’s Senior winner: Barry Mutlow, runner-up Benny Malan, Ladies Seniors winner Veronica Malan, runner-up Joey Evans, Men’s Open winner Ron Howe, runner-up Braam van Zyl, Ladies open: Anita Scott, runner-up Nan Roos.
