Parkrun celebrates 250th event

When you factor in lockdown, Vryheid parkrun has actually been around for over six years. As Vryheid parkrun celebrates its 250th event, a huge shout-out goes to all the volunteers over this period, as they have made these events possible. Thanks also to all the participants who have helped to build Vryheid parkrun into the awesome community group it has become. Then, thanks and congratulations to: those who coach and offer great advice to their fellow runners and walkers; to the families that cheer them on; to the KwaZulu Private Ambulance crew and the Vryheid Herald for their continued support; to everyone who donates their time, plants, water, etc, to make these events extra special; to the technical team for their work in maintaining the course, the signage and wall paintings; to the golf club for hosting these events; and most of all to YOU. Yes, YOU! Your participation keeps us all coming back week after week.
