Bail denied in Newcastle CPF murder case

The four accused will re-appear in court on October 25, pending the finalisation of the investigation.

The bail application for the four CPF members accused of the 2022 murder of Khulekani Hlatshwayo (26) concluded in the Newcastle Magistrates Court this morning (October 3).

In a packed courtroom, Presiding Officer Vernita Mundell denied bail for Ismaeel Dhalech (40), Ebrahim Adams (38) and Yaseen Mohamed (30).

However, she granted bail for Mahomed Ashraf (18) under strict bail conditions, including being placed under supervised house arrest.

Newcastle CPF spokesperson, Talha Randeree confirmed the organisation would be releasing an official statement shortly.

The Newcastle Advertiser will update the information as soon as the statement is released.
