Driver badly injured as truck rolls

A truck crashed and rolled on the R103 between Estcourt and Frere yesterday (September 5), seriously injuring the driver.

The vehicle was heading towards Estcourt when it veered off the road.

Officials at the scene commented that the cause of the accident is unclear at this time.

It is believed that the driver was the only occupant. He was attended to at the scene by IPSS Medical Rescue and then rushed to hospital for urgent medical attention.

No other vehicles were involved.

Traffic police and towing services responded.
