Dundee Moths reach out to informal traders in fund raising bid

Local Moth organisation is utilising its grounds to give informal traders a safe place to sell their goods.

The Moth Shellhole grounds in Beaconsfield Street, opposite the NG Kerk, are now being used for regular market days during the week.
The idea is for informal traders to be given access to the grounds, from where they can operate in a ‘safe place’ just off the main central business district.

The effort is also being used to raise much-needed funds for the Endumeni Isandlwana Moth Shellhole, an organisation for military veterans that helps those in need who have served their country.

Dante Phiri is one entrepreneur who has taken the opportunity to market and sell clothing in this space.
This Dundee High 2016 matriculant has a passion for designing clothing and customised sneakers for a living.
Multi-talented Dante and his brother also do body piercings and tattoos.

Dante – who enjoys sports including jogging, skateboarding and soccer – likes to reach out to the less fortunate and is happy to support the initiative started by the Moths.
Any informal trader wishing to make use of the Shellhole grounds can contact Graham on 072 622 3626.
