Police seize narcotics in Ekuvukeni

The officers recovered capsules suspected to contain heroin and one arrest was made

A search operation was conducted by the Public Order Policing National Deployment team at a residence in Ekuvukeni, following a tip-off about suspected drug-dealing.

The search resulted in the seizure of 65 capsules suspected to contain heroin, valued at R2000, and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be linked to illicit activities.

The 42-year-old occupant of the house was arrested and appeared in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court, facing charges related to narcotics.

The outcome of the case is pending.

This operation was part of ongoing efforts to address drug-related offences and maintain community safety.
