Harvest High School recently hosted an electrifying debate competition against Ladysmith High School (LHS) on the hot topic: “Should alcohol be banned in South Africa?”
Harvest took on the proposition, while LHS stood as the opposition.
Both teams brought their A-game, presenting powerful arguments that captivated the audience and impressed the judges. Harvest highlighted the societal and health impacts of alcohol, while LHS countered with economic concerns and personal freedoms.
The level of preparation, respect and eloquence from both sides was outstanding. Though no official winner was declared, the real triumph was the enriching experience shared by all participants and attendees.
