St Dominics family supports Preschool Pantry Power for Mandela Day

Due to recent budget cuts in government funding, organisations like Nil Desperandum face ongoing challenges in caring for their residents each month.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible St Dominics family, including our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and enthusiastic learners, for rallying behind the Preschool Pantry Power for Mandela Day campaign! Together, we have proven to be true changemakers, and our collective contributions will significantly impact the residents of the Association for the Physically Challenged (APC Nil Desperandum).

APC Nil Desperandum is home to 27 full-time residents, most of whom are elderly, disabled, and in wheelchairs.

Due to recent budget cuts in government funding, organisations like Nil Desperandum face ongoing challenges in caring for their residents each month.

Despite these obstacles, Nil Desperandum, with its dedicated social worker and nurse on-site and 24/7 security, continues to provide exceptional care.

Eleanor van der Westhuizen of Nil Desperandum extends the organisation’s heartfelt thanks and blessings to each person who contributed to this initiative. Your support goes a long way in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those at Nil Desperandum.

In the spirit of Mandela Day, let us remember Nelson Mandela’s words: “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Thank you, St Dominics family, for embodying this spirit and making a positive impact in our community!
