Dundee-born author launches new book

Widely travelled, Dr Rolls has delivered leadership talks in countries including India, Ghana and Pakistan

Dr Rev Gordon Lesley Rolls recently launched his new book in his hometown of Dundee.
Consider the following scenario: Today’s fast-paced, materialistic world puts huge pressure on family life. Yet families, which are the building blocks of society, are under threat like never before, which in turn means that how we raise our children is also under duress.

In his recently launched book, ‘Foundations of Faith and Family’, Dundee-born Dr Rolls cuts through this by presenting a book that offers a crisp blueprint for building strong marriages and families, and raising godly children.
Addressing challenges faced by modern families, Dr Rolls provides practical guidance for navigating adversity by returning to God’s plan for the family – all based on clear Biblical references.
Dr Rolls launched the book in Forestdale, where he was born in 1978 and where his single mother brought him up along with four brothers and two sisters.

He schooled in Dundee and matriculated from Haythorn Private School in Pietermaritzburg in 1996. He went on to be a businessman and gospel teacher, holding a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Executive Diplomas in Ministry, Divinity and Theology.

“I am also a business and life coach who believes that faith and business can intersect for the greater good. The book is rooted in Christian principles and the teachings within it extend across diverse cultures and generational settings. I hope that it serves as a road map for contributing to the greatness of the family. What I am aiming for is for readers to actively apply the motivations and guidelines in their everyday family lives.”

. He is currently the international chairperson of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment economics forum and is a sought-after speaker.
Currently living in Gauteng, Dr Rolls is married to Laurenza and loves walking to keep fit. However, his Dundee roots remain strong – hence his choice to hold the book launch locally.
The book is an amazing manual for families, relationships, marriage counsellors, family therapists, finance experts, the clergy, and social workers. The book is available at a cost of R100 by ordering online with Royal Books or by contacting Iris Kemp Griffiths on 073 585 3192 or Dr Gordon Rolls on 071 283 5312.
