Methodist youth hand over winter clothing at children’s home

The kids all received a pack of warm clothes and extra second-hand clothing to wear when they play.

Children from Vryheid Methodist Church, who attend ‘Sunday School’, visit Inkululeko Children’s Home every year as part of their church’s mission.
This year, their aim was to make sure that all the children have warm clothes. The kids all received a pack of warm clothes and extra second-hand clothing to wear when they play. “Our visit coincided with Enzokuhle Mbatha’s birthday, who is one of the Inkululeko children. His face lit up with a beaming smile when he received his cake that was brought by the church,” said Dr Nkosi.
Nkosi further explained that, “Inkululeko Children’s Home relies solely on donations and volunteers to keep it running. It was very pleasing to meet Mr Terry Leveridge, who is a Methodist by birth and is now a deacon. We appreciate the work that is done by him; his presence at the Home is much appreciated because he is a living testimony of what servant-hood is. Terry is acting as the Home’s handyman and he fixes everything at no cost.”
Home manager Mirriam Leveridge gave a vote of thanks towards the Methodist Church and expressed her gratitude, saying that, “Our contribution may look small to us, but to them it is so huge because kids will be warm this winter.”
