Successful market day at Presbyterian Church

The funds raised help with the various outreach programmes that the women in the church support

The Presbyterian Church in Farquhar Road held a market day last Saturday (June 29).

Townsfolk braved the chilly morning to set up their stalls, which offered various wares for sale – from delicious curries and chilli bites to homemade soup, to name but a few.

Young girl Alexia Langton had a stall where she sold biltong and pre-owned books, all in the name of making money to redecorate her room. A very inspiring young girl! Although she had help from her family, she showed great excitement and confidence when it came to her pop-up shop and selling skills.

The Presbyterian Church trusts that the day of fun and fellowship among the community brought a spark of warmth to all those who helped make the event special.
